The Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia is hosting a summer camp especially organized for Ukrainian refugees in Switzerland.

The summer camp is organized by Archpriest Emilien Pocinoc of the Geneva Cathedral, and is being held in the western municipality of Leysin, the diocese reports.

“The special session runs throughout the coming week, providing a time of fellowship, prayer, activities and excursions for Ukrainian children newly arrived in Europe on account of the war.”

The cathedral website notes that activities include field trips and hiking in the mountains, swimming and sports competitions, conversations with the priest, and various master classes.

In June, the Western European Diocese posted an update on its responses to the challenges faced as a result of the war in Ukraine, including, first and foremost, prayer, as well as various means of practical aid.
