Vasiliki Vafeidou, the sister of the revered Elder Aimilianos of Simonopetra Monastery on Mt. Athos, has reposed in the Lord.
Her funeral was served yesterday, after which she was buried at the Third Cemetery of Athens in the suburb of Nikaia, with the participation of the fathers of the local Simonopetra dependency and spiritual children of the Elder, reports Vima Orthodoxias.
May Vasiliki’s memory be eternal!

Her brother, Archimandrite Aimilianos, who was among the beloved 20th-century elders who helped revive Mt. Athos, reposed in the Lord on May 9, 2019, and was buried at the Annunciation Convent in Ormylia, Greece, which he founded and where he spent the last years of his life in sickness.
