The official representative of the Orthodox Church in America in Moscow was awarded by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill last week.
Archpriest Daniel Andrejuk, the rector of the Church of St. Catherine in Moscow, the official representation church of the Orthodox Church in America, was presented with the Order of the Blessed Prince Daniel of Moscow (III Degree) on Sunday, the feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, reports the Russian Church’s Department for External Church Relations.
The Patriarch honored him during the Divine Liturgy at Christ the Savior Cathedral for “his words for the benefit of the holy Church and in connection with the 20th anniversary of his priestly ministry.”

Fr. Daniel graduated from St. Tikhon’s Seminary in Pennsylvania in 1999, and from the Moscow Theological Academy in 2002 with a PhD in theology.
That June, he was ordained to the diaconate at the Church of St. Catherine in Moscow, and in August, he was ordained to the priesthood at St. Tikhon’s Monastery.
On November 14, 2002, he was appointed rector of the new parish of St. Tikhon of Moscow in Alaska. In 2005, he became dean of the Kenai Peninsula. On April 11, 2010, he was elevated to the rank of archpriest.
In December 2017, Fr. Daniel was appointed rector of the OCA representation in Moscow.
