The Kiev Theological Academy published a video yesterday entitled, “The Ukrainian Orthodox Church: What Do You Need to Know?”

The video, in the Ukrainian language with English subtitles, gives a rundown of the UOC’s canonical status and its stance on various pressing matters related to the ongoing war.

The topics discussed are:

  • The UOC’s status

  • How its current status is expressed

  • Relations with Moscow

  • Attitude towards the war

  • Attitude towards the territories claimed by Russia

  • Attitude towards the language of worship

  • Attitude towards the idea of the “Russian World”

  • Relations with the schismatic “Orthodox Church of Ukraine”
