A week-long search for a missing 60-year-old monk on Mt. Athos has so far proved fruitless.
Monk George K., 60, from the Holy Cell of St. Artemios of the Great Lavra was reported missing on April 4. His disappearance was reported to the police at noon by an elder of the Holy Cell.
Despite the best efforts of the rescue team and volunteers, no trace of Fr. George has been found yet, reports Ekklisia Online today.
