Russian Church opens 265th humanitarian center

The Russian Orthodox Church recently opened a new humanitarian aid center in the Rostov Province.

The new center, the 265th operated by the Russian Church, is located at Holy Protection Church in the village of Kagalnik. Large and needy families, as well as those as affected by recent floods, are able to receive food, clothing, and basic necessities, reports the Synodal Charitable Department.

Fr. Evgeny Osyak, head of the Rostov Diocese’s Social Department notes that clothing was donated by the Gloria Jeans company and others. The diocese provided new clothes, shoes, drugs for immunity, and food packages for the opening of the new center.

This is the Russian Church’s fourth new humanitarian center opened this year.
