Gratitude is that sweet disposition of love for God by which the reverent soul sees and feels the various benefactions of God, highly values every Divine benefaction, and turns them to the glory of God.
Truth in Christ and through Christ is the wisdom of God. Christ is the power and wisdom of God for those who are called.
After her translation from earth to Heaven, the prophetic word of Mary was naturally fulfilled in all its fullness: From henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. How can we not bless her now when, abiding in the glory of her Son, she intercedes for us as the Mother of all who believe in her Son?
Why don’t you want to tell someone else about your sins? Are you ashamed? Oh, if only it were so!
Weep, sinner, wandering far from your homeland, from your Heavenly fatherland. Where is our homeland? Where is our Jerusalem?
How strict, how supremely righteous the Last Judgment will be! If the Lord knows all, if He’s as righteous as He is powerful, then how terrible His judgment will be! In flaming fire [He will take] vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Thess. 1:8).
Bearing the labors and afflictions of proclaiming Christ, the Apostle Andrew preached the Gospel in many lands of Asia and Europe, including Bithynia, Propontis, Greece, Macedonia, Thrace, and Scythia.
Rejected by the world, she sought nothing more from it and dedicated her entire life to serving the Lord.
