Amidst the suffering of the ongoing war and the state persecution of the Church, the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continue to charitably help others in need, manifesting their Christian love.

On October 11, volunteers from the Social Service of the Kherson Diocese assembled 100 packages of humanitarian aid, which were brought to the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Kherson from benefactors in the Vladimir-Volyn Diocese, reports the charitable foundation Dream of the Future, which helped assemble the packages.

Approximately 1 ton of food products, including pasta, buckwheat, rice, barley, wheat cereals, millet, rice, arnautka wheat, preserves, lard, and flour, were delivered, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan John of Kherson, to the needy residents of Kherson who live in the red zone, and the elderly and retirees with limited mobility.

In particular, the foundation reports that food aid was delivered directly to 26 families living in a dormitory that has been damaged in the war, in an area where drone attacks are a constant threat.
