Theophany Works, an Orthodox iconography company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, held its first in-studio sale and open house last week, welcoming numerous members of the faithful to the historic farmhouse that serves as the company’s studio.
The December 6th event featured Lenten food, fellowship, and a wide selection of religious items including holy icons, pure beeswax candles, incense from Mount Athos, brasswares, blessing crosses, apparel, Nativity ornaments, greeting cards, and blankets, the company reports.
“We are praying all the faithful would be greatly blessed during this Nativity fast and in the celebration and Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ’s Holy Incarnation!”

Established in 2022 under the patronage of St. John the Baptist and Forerunner, Theophany Works was founded by a team committed to holy Orthodoxy and serving God through their talents. With the blessing of their spiritual fathers and bishops, the team began developing reproduction icons that incorporate features from historic and contemporary iconographic work at competitive prices.
The company’s icons are hand-reproduced in their Lancaster studio using archival ink on premium fine art canvas, mounted onto smooth maple-shelled panels. Each icon is sealed with a UV protectant clear coat to give the appearance of a handwritten icon. The edges are typically painted in traditional Byzantine red, referencing traditional Macedonian frescoes, and the reverse side displays the Theophany Works mark of authenticity branded into the wood.
Beyond iconography, Theophany Works offers genuine beeswax candles, traditional incense, brass censers, prayer books, prayer ropes, apparel, and gift items. The company has established partnerships with iconographers, with Kyriakos Kosova serving as their premiere partner.
