Lives of the Saints of Rus' to be published in English for the first time

Photo: holytrinitypublications.com Photo: holytrinitypublications.com Holy Trinity Publications has announced the release of a two-volume translation of the Lives of the Saints of Rus’: A Legacy of Holiness, marking the first time the work has been made available in English.

The original work was published in France in 1977 and compiled by Nun Taisia (Kartsova), a monastic of the Holy Protection Convent in Bussy-en-Othe, France, where she was known among the sisterhood as “The Russian Hagiographer.” A second edition was published in Jordanville in 1983 to include the lives of many New Martyrs of Russia.

Nun Taisia spent nearly half a century in monasticism, devoting most of that time to translating Orthodox books, writing spiritual literature, and compiling, writing, and editing the lives of the saints.

Pre-orders for both volumes are currently available at a 15% discount off the regular price of $50.00. Volume one may be pre-ordered at $42.50 until September 3, and volume two at the same price until November 3.
