More than three dozen more people were received into the Orthodox Church in Mozambique on Sunday.

The Sacrament was celebrated by Fr. Christos Sitoe, rector of the Holy Trinity Parish in Maputo, during a pastoral tour of communities in northern Mozambique. He also blessed the homes of the new Orthodox Christians.

The following day, the feast of All Saints Who Have Shone Forth in the Russian Land, Fr. Christos celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Nativity of John the Forerunner Church in the same province, where the newly baptized received Holy Communion for the first time.

The Baptisms come just a week after Fr. Christos baptized 22 residents of Zambézia Province on the Leave-taking of Pentecost.
