More than a dozen people were baptized into the holy Orthodox Church in Malawi earlier this month.
Only July 11, a mass Baptism was celebrated at the Church of St. Matrona of Moscow in the village of Nankhunda during which sixteen people were received into the Church via the Russian Orthodox Church’s African Exarchate.
The service was celebrated by the rector Fr. Savva Kadzhava.
The newly baptized, representatives of the Yao and Mang’anja peoples, underwent four months of preparation before being baptized.
