The Orthodox Church continues to experience significant growth around the world, with mass Baptisms throughout the diaspora and mission fields now a regular occurrence.
One of the most recent celebrations took place in the Burundi village of Ngozi, where 21 people converted from other Christian denominations and were baptized by Fr. Dimitri Ntahonskhiye of the Russian Orthodox Church’s African Exarchate.

Then the Divine Liturgy was celebrated, at which the newly baptized received Holy Communion for the first time, the Exarchate reports.
Dozens of people have been baptized in Mozambique over the past month, and on July 5, Fr. Christos Sitoe baptized another 12 people, in the village of Nahoma. Two days later, six more people were baptized in Maputo.

OrthoChristian has already reported on four previous Mass Baptisms celebrated by Fr. Christos, most recently the reception of 45 people on June 28.
And on Friday, July 10, eight members of the Zamudio family were baptized in Talisay, Camarines Norte, Philippines by Hieromonk John if the Iveron Icon Church in Manila.
