A joyous event was held at one northwestern Pennsylvania parish this weekend as nearly a dozen people were baptized into the Orthodox Church.
“Congratulations and Many Years to the 10 Newly Illumined souls (and their sponsors) who were baptized into the Orthodox Faith this past weekend!” writes Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Crossingville.

The Orthodox Church in America parish has baptized 29 people in the past year alone.
Sts. Peter and Paul is one of only two Orthodox churches in Crawford County. The parish was founded in 1921 by Slovak farming families, and today is a growing, multi-ethnic community made up of both cradle and convert Orthodox Christians.
