Security officials in Moscow check Danilov Monastery after bomb threat

Security officials have begun an inspection on the territory of Danilov Monastery in southern Moscow following an anonymous message about an explosive device placed somewhere within the monastery, reports an RIA-Novosti source in the capital’s emergency services.

“There was an anonymous call of a bomb threat and an investigation is underway,” stated the agency source.

According to him there was no evacuation of the monastery.

The monastery is located at 22 Danilovsky Val. The staff of the operational services are carrying out the search on the territory of the monastery and the surrounding area.
