Absolutely beautifully -- both the photographs and the sense of piety they convey. And i wholeheartedly second what Michael has written, as much as i understand what Anthony has mentioned (sometimes the laity get disorderly in our church too [i belong to the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church, Oriental Orthodox]). p.s. Michael has rightly written about Russia's continuing emergence into light after three-quarters of a century of darkness -- seems it was always part of God's plan. Maybe Russia had to go through that dark period to emerge much stronger into the light. As that wonderful priest Fr. John Krestiankin said, "Only God rules the world, not humans."-

The beauty, the magnificence, the discipline, the sincerity and attentiveness in the faces of the people, the mixture of young and old! Makes me so proud to be orthodox. God bless Holy Mother Russia in her continuing emergence into light after three-quarters of a century of darkness.
