A mass Baptism was celebrated over the weekend at the parish of St. Vladimir the Great of the Moscow Patriarchate’s African Exarchate in Zomba, Malawi.
In total, 25 people were baptized by the local dean Fr. George Chabvera, the parish rector Fr. Ezekiel Chikaonda, and Fr. Timothy Chintenga, the Exarchate reports.
The newly illumined underwent seven months of catechism before receiving Holy Baptism.

Frs. George and Timothy baptized 170 people in August 2022. Another 29, including former Protestant pastors, were baptized in another service that month. 142 were baptized at the same church in May of this year.
