Niamahana, Tanzania, April 28, 2020
The joy and grace of the resurrected Christ was shared with needy parishioners in a Tanzanian village on Sunday, as the Diocese of Arusha and Central Tanzania continued its charitable activity.
The faithful in the village of Niamahana in the Iringa Region arrived to church for the Divine Liturgy on Thomas Sunday from early in the morning. Following the dismissal, volunteers from the diocesan missionary center distributed bags of food to the faithful, to help them meet the great needs of their families, reports the Orthodoxia News Agency.
“Their thanksgiving and gratitude are indelibly imprinted on everyone's faces! The joy and love of the Resurrection expressed in a simple way... A little food and a beautiful smile filled with feelings of gratitude and praise to God!” reads the report.
