With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolae, the Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of the Romanian Patriarchate has launched an online Orthodox educational program.
The series, intended to last at least 12 months, includes Bible studies in both English and Romanian, a catechetical program, and spiritual talks with a Romanian Orthodox abbot.
The classes will be presented online every Thursday at 7 PM Eastern Standard time, with a different focus each Thursday of the month, reports the Romanian Metropolia.
The courses include:

Bible Study (in English): Beginning with the book of Revelation, to be held the first Thursday of every month, led by Fr. Dr. John Downie of St. Michael’s Church in Southbridge, Massachusettes. Fr. John holds a doctorate from the Patriarch Justinian Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Bucharest. The Bible Study will be held on ZOOM at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3570604649.

Catechetical program: Based on the Romanian Metropolia’s The Way catechism, to be held the second Thursday of every month. Various priests of the Metropolia will present “an introductory course for parishes meant to initiate the audience with notions and aspects of life specific to the Orthodox faith.” The catechetical talks will be held on ZOOM at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83232676956.

A spiritual evening: Led by Fr. Prostosinghel Jeremiah (Berbec), abbot of St. Demetrios the New Romanian Orthodox Monastery in Middletown, New York, to be held the third Thursday of every month. Fr. Jeremiah was a spiritual child of the great Elder Arsenie (Papacioc) and holds a master’s degree from the Dumitru Stăniloae Faculty of Theology in Iași. Each evening will consist of a short presentation and a Q and A section, and will take place on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN025NXERrwaRTIfGPIDiaw.
