How to connect with OrthoChristian on social media!

Besides those readers who come directly to our site, for years now, our main avenue for sharing our articles has been through our Orthodox Christianity Facebook page, which has grown to nearly 100,000 followers over the years!

However, as Facebook grows ever more authoritarian and its anti-Christian bias becomes ever clearer, many people are abandoning it for other social media apps.

Additionally, for more than a month now, Facebook has been limiting our page so that our articles are not displayed in anybody’s news feeds. So, although we have almost 100,000 followers, each article is only seen by 100 or 150 people who come directly to our page. And as Facebook gives no indication of what rule we are supposed to be violating, there is no way for us to fix this situation. We can only wait and hope the restrictions come to an end. Last year, our page was limited for about two months, and then it suddenly stopped.

However, one reader has shared that you can still receive our articles in your newsfeed if you go to our Facebook page and change your preferences for our page.

At the top of the page, click the “…” button, and choose “Follow Settings.”

Make sure either “Favorites” or “Default” is chosen in the top section. Then scroll down to the Notifications section and choose “Posts.”

Change the “Highlights” option to “Standard,” and save your changes. You should still receive at least some of our notifications in your news feed!

But as Facebook becomes less reliable, we want to inform our readers of other ways they can easily receive our daily updates.

You can follow us and see all our posts on:

  • Twitter
  • Vkontakte For those looking for an alternative to Facebook, Vkontakte is the best option. It is already well-established, with millions of users, and has all the features of Facebook, and more. There is also plenty of good Orthodox material there.
  • Telegram
  • and now WhatsApp

We also have a mailing list where you can receive regular updates. Although the list fell dormant for a while, we hope to revive it and keep it going now. Join our mailing list here.

!!! Also, when you visit our site, make sure to navigate to https://orthochristian.com – without the www. We have a valid security certificate for the site without the www, but not with it. Otherwise, you could get message saying our site is not secure.

Thank you for all your support, and God bless you!

Please, join 'Parler', a great platform for Christian Conservatives. It's exploding right now!

Roger, I've tried to join MeWe for weeks, but just continually get: "Something went wrong. Try again later."

It would be also good to join Gab. It is one if the best alternatives to Twitter, and there is also quite a bunch of Orthodox users, who sadly are exposed to Protestant propaganda there. I've been sharing your articles there for years now myself.

Please consider setting up a page on MeWe. It is the best of the Facebook alternatives and refuges . I've been there for years now, but recently, thousands of people have been pouring into it, fleeing the Facebook fascism. There are plenty of orthodox Christians there. I try to post the articles there myself. But it would be so nice if you would set up a page there. It will be very well received. It would serve many people. Is extremely easy to do. I will be glad to help you. I will be glad to set it up for you. You have my email address here.
