Although Ben Gurion Airport is still closed due to COVID restrictions, Israel will allow several countries to send delegations to receive the Holy Fire that descends in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre every year on Holy Saturday.

“These countries are Cyprus, Bulgaria, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Greece, Georgia, Poland, and Kazakhstan,” Sharon Regev, director of the Department of World Religions of the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced at a press conference, reports RIA-Novosti.

According to her, the Foreign Ministry has been preparing for this “for many weeks.” Special emissaries will also deliver the Holy Fire to the Christian communities of Israel, Palestine, and Jordan, she noted.

OrthoChristian earlier reported that about 2,500 faithful will be able to attend the service of the Holy Fire this year, with proof of vaccination. The service will be broadcast live online by the Ukrainian TV channel Inter.

Please, someone, get the Holy Fire to America. We need it more than ever with Socialism is ravaging the country through the efforts of the man who thinks he is president, but who is a puppet for the radical Socialist/Communist left. America needs the blessing of the Holy Fire.
