Photo: orthodox.or.th Photo: orthodox.or.th The Cambodian faithful of the Orthodox Church received a wonderful gift just in time for Pascha this year.

A newly-completed translation of the Paschal service, including Paschal Matins, Hours, and the Divine Liturgy, in the Khmer language was donated to all Cambodian faithful, reports the site of the Cambodian Deanery of the Thai Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The translation was published by the Deanery with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Sergei of Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The publication was prepared by Hieromonk Paisiy (Ipate), the rector of St. George’s Church in Phnom Penh, Fr. Roman Postnikov, rector of the Church of St. Panteleimon in Sihanoukville, and Daria Okhvat, professor of the Khmer Language and Literature at St. Petersburg State University.

An e-version is also available on the site of the Cambodian Deanery.

A Khmer-language Orthodox prayer book was published in 2015, and the Divine Liturgy was published the following year.
