His Grace Bishop Pankraty of Troitsk, the abbot of the famous Valaam Monastery, has tested positive for COVID.

As the hierarch wrote on his Facebook page, he received the Russian Sputnik vaccine in September, “but I have no more antibodies.”

“Dear friends, pray for me, a sinner, that the course of the sickness might go well. For now, I have a light form—a small cough, and my joints ache,” Vladyka Pankraty said.

OrthoChristian reported yesterday that Abbot Ephraim of the Athonite Vatopedi Monastery is being treated for COVID in a hospital in Athens.
