LIVE: Moleben and cross procession of Ukrainian Orthodox Church for Baptism of Rus’

The First Independent YouTube channel offers a live broadcast of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s annual moleben and cross procession in honor of the Baptism of Rus’.

The moleben will be led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine, the greatly beloved primate of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The Ukrainian hierarchs, clergy, monastics, and faithful, are also joined by delegations from the Antiochian, Serbian, and Czech-Slovak Churches. A number of wonderworking icons from around Ukraine are also present for the veneration of the faithful.

On the eve of the feast of the Baptism of Rus’, the much-anticipated All-Ukrainian Cross Procession was held. After a moleben, over 300,000 believers walked on foot over 2 miles from St. Vladimir’s Hill to the Kiev Caves Lavra to celebrate the Baptism of Rus’.
