Ukrainian hierarchs pray at relics of St. John of San Francisco (+VIDEO)

Two hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Russian cathedral in San Francisco yesterday.

The Holy Virgin Cathedral “Joy of All Who Sorrow” (Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia) is home to the relics of the great wonderworker St. John (Maximovitch) of San Francisco.

The Liturgy was celebrated by His Grace Bishop Viktor of Baryshevka, the Ukrainian Church’s representative to European international organizations, and His Grace Bishop Dionysiy of Pereyaslav and Khmelnitsky, Bp. Viktor reports.

The hierarchs also served a moleben before St. John’s relics. His Grace Bishop Theodosy of Seattle was also present.

Bp. Viktor and Bp. Dionysiy celebrated the Liturgy at the ROCOR cathedral in Cleveland on Sunday, and visited the OCA’s Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
