Man finds dozens of icons washed ashore on Greek island (+VIDEO)

A 69-year-old local was out for a stroll when he came across on an unexpected site on the shore of the Greek island of Evia.

82 icons were washed ashore along the beach in the region of Nea Lampsakos, reports kathimerini.gr.

As he described to local outlets, he was quite shocked when he came across the icons lying in shallow water, with no idea how they got there.

The preliminary investigation of the case was undertaken by the Central Port Authority of Chalkida.

Sergei is totally paralyzed except for his head, neck and shoulders. By our hero’s own admission, nothing remained for him but to learn how to do something with the muscles that still had some potential for movement. This desire proved to be enough to find his calling in life. In the Golovinky district, a micro-district in the Lazarevsky city district of Sochi, an icon of the Mother of God was washed up on shore by the sea. The lady tourist who found it, brought it to the nearest Church.
