Former college building donated to Bulgarian Orthodox Church

With a solemn ceremony on October 11, 2022, the regional governor of the Lovech Region, Svetoslav Slavchev, handed the contract and the keys to His Eminence Metropolitan Gavriil of Lovech to the building of the former Tannery Technical College in the town of Lovech.

The building was provided two years ago by the government of the Republic of Bulgaria for the new general education school called, “St. Sedmochiselnitsi”, under the auspices of the Lovich diocese of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

With the allocated state funds of the regional administration in the town of Lovech, the building was completely renovated for its future service to the Bulgarian Church. The ceremony was also attended by the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Lovech, Mr. Ventsislav Hristov, acting head of RUO Lovech, Dr. Ivanichka Burovska, and teachers from the school. With a short program, the children from the Archangel's Voice choir greeted the attendees. Words were delivered by the regional governor, Svetoslav Slavchev and Metropolitan Gavriil.
