Mass Baptism at Ugandan village church

Nearly two dozen people received the washing of regeneration at a Ugandan village church in September.

In all, 21 people, both children and adults, were baptized at Prophet Obadiah Church in the village of Buziika on September 4, Fr. Isabirye Petroc reported to OrthoChristian.

    

The parish community is part of the Russian Orthodox Church’s African Exarchate. There are presently 61 parishioners.

In October, 115 people were baptized by Bishop Nektarios of Gulu and Northern Uganda of the Patriarchate of Alexandria.
