Weeping icon of St. Paraskeva, St. Ephraim the New draw pilgrims to Greek church (+VIDEO)

Crowds of people have been flocking every day to the Church of St. Ephraim in Mytilene on the Greek island of Lesvos to venerate two icons that recently began weeping.

An icon of St. Ephraim the New shows streaks running from the saint’s eyes down to the bottom of the icon. The faithful noticed the phenomenon on the feast of Pentecost, reports Vima Orthodoxias.

At the same time, an icon of St. Paraskeva also began weeping in a church about a mile away. According to the local bishop’s order, the icon was temporarily moved to the Church of St. Ephraim. Word of the icons has spread and the Orthodox faithful have been coming every day to the venerate the two icons.
