The Dormition of the Mother of God: Monasteries of Rus’

Orthodox Christians have profound love and veneration for the Most Holy Mother of God, and greatly love the feast of her Dormition. In Rus’, this is also expressed by the great, historical lavras and monasteries dedicated to this feast of the Theotokos. The love of the Orthodox can be seen in every year in these monasteries, when the faithful flock to them in force to celebrate the feast.
