Another 2 dozen+ Orthodox in Mozambique in third mass Baptism this month

26 residents of the village of Muluma in Niassa Province, Mozambique, were received into the Orthodox Church on Saturday, June 20 at the parish of the Apostle Thomas.

The Sacrament was celebrated by Fr. Christos Sitoe, rector of the Holy Trinity Parish in Maputo, who also blessed the homes of the newly baptized, reports the African Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The following day, Fr. Christos celebrated the Divine Liturgy, at which the newly illumined received Holy Communion for the first time.

The Baptisms are the third such event this month in northern Mozambique. On June 6, Fr. Christos baptized 22 people in Zambézia Province, followed by 38 residents of the village of Tomboe on June 13.
