It was recommended for publication by the Academic Council of the Kiev Theological Academy and Seminary, reports the UOC Information-Education Department.
The textbook is designed for students at theological institutions of higher education, specifically seminarians studying English as a second language. The course is meant to bring students to a B2 level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages across listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with all four skills integrated into each lesson.
The book uses authentic theological texts and audio materials, giving students the chance to actively use English in real Biblical contexts and helping them confidently perceive, understand, and discuss Holy Scripture in English. It also includes interactive exercises and assignments, such as discussions, role-playing, and oral presentations on Biblical topics, which form the communicative basis of the course.
