72 new catechumens at Raleigh parish (+VIDEO)

One parish in North Carolina recently enrolled dozens of new catechumens in one weekend.

On Sunday, August 30, 72 people officially became catechumens at All Saints Antiochian Orthodox Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, the parish reports.

The church writes:

This past Sunday, Father David enrolled 72 new catechumens into our ranks. Please pray for our catechumens, as they prepare to be received into the Church, and pray for our parish as we strive to plant a mission to continue to grow! Glory to God!

All Saints has seen its catechumen numbers climb steadily. In September, the parish had more than 160 catechumens, and 32 of them were baptized in January. By mid-February, another 83 people had become catechumens, bringing the total at that time to 215. On Holy Saturday, 21 people were received into the Church at All Saints.
