Muslim Galiya Isekeyeva in the village of Chernorechye of the Chelyabinsk Region has gifted the St. Nicholas Church of the 19th century to Orthodox believers.
She bought the deserted building with her own money, the press service of the local diocese reports.
The first prayer service in a hundred years was then conducted there.
Isekeyeva first bought the building for a shop, but then she learned that there had been a church there. She consulted with an imam and decided to convey the property to the diocese, and it further decided to restore the church there.
