Moscow factories will bake 700 tons of kulich for the coming Pascha, head of the capital's Trade and Services Department Alexey Nemeryuk said on Thursday at a press conference with Interfax.
"We plan to bake 700 tons of kulich for the feast, which is three million Pascha breads. It is the only thing our Moscow factories will do. Foreign production will also be represented. 14 bread baking plants will bake Pascha breads. We, as always, have enough flour and baking products," he said.
According to Nemeryuk, more than 30 kinds of Pascha breads from 70 grams to one kilo will be sold in the shops, varying in price from 70 to 200 roubles ($.30-$10.50).
First Deputy Director of the Mosgortrans state enterprise Boris Tkachyuk reported that free buses would run to 17 major Moscow cemeteries on the coming Church feasts of Palm Sunday (April 24), Pascha (May 1) and Thomas Sunday (May 8).
