Kazan Churches Around the World
Water colors of Ivan Krasnobayev
In honor of the 400-year anniversary of the glorification of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in 2012, a young architect from the city of Kazan, Ivan Krasnobayev, prepared a series of works dedicated to Kazan Churches that have been built around the world. At the exhibition, “Churches of the Kazan Icon”, which took place in the Kazan Monastery of the Theotokos, thirty-two water colors paintings were shown that depicted churches in the U.S., Australia, Cuba, Israel, Finland, and of course Russia, which show a special love for this image of the Mother of God.
