Bulgarian Patriarch recovering well after surgery

His Holiness Patriarch Neofit of Sofia underwent a successful operation for a fracture in his upper left femur at the Sofiamed University Hospital yesterday.

He is feeling well and is beginning rehabilitation today, the hospital reports.

The Patriarch was hospitalized on Tuesday after suffering an accident at the Patriarchal House in Sofia.
