Another priest has repented of the sin of schism and returned to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, just a week after leaving the Church.

Archpriest Yaroslav Mikitin of the Vinnitsa Diocese initially announced his departure into the schismatic “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” on May 21. However, yesterday a schismatic priest announced that Fr. Yaroslav and the parishioners of the four communities under his care had returned to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The schismatic cleric writes with the enmity characteristic of the OCU:

10 days ago, Priest Yaroslav Nikitin left the Church of the occupier of the UOC-MP and moved into the bosom of the OCU. Today it became known from the secretary of the Vinnitasa-Bar Diocese of the OCU, Deacon Alexander, that Priest Yaroslav Nikitin unfortunately returned to the UOC-MP Church, which is subordinate to the Russian Orthodox Church, and with him returned to the UOC-MP the parishes of the villages of Ulanov, Chernyatintsy, Pagurtsy, and Rogintsy.

Last week, OrthoChristian reported that a priest of the Rivne Diocese repented and returned, having only spent a few days in schism.

It sounds like the results of the UOC Council persuaded these priests to return.

It might not be possible but it would be good to learn what lead the priests to leave the UOC and then return.

"They shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd," said the Good Shepherd, Our Lord Jesus Christ (Gospel of St. John, chapter 10). The scattered flock of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church are starting to return. God willing, we will see the "others" that the Lord spoke about: "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring." The Good Shepherd is calling out to the OCU to come to their true home. Слава Ісусу Христу! Слава навіки!
