An unusual exhibit has opened In the Museum of Christian Art at the Moscow Theological Academy, of the forgotten artist Vladimir Orlov. His work has never before been exhibited in such volume, and in fact very little is known about the artist himself. At the exhibition, on display are 185 drawings by the artist, which are dedicated to Russian church architecture, the earliest dating to 1907, and the latest to 1959. It is interesting that after the revolution the subject and significance of Vladimir Orlov’s work did not change.
This exhibit is on display until August 31, 2023 in the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra, Sergiev Posad, north of Moscow, in the Museum of Christian Art “Church-Archeological Cabinet”.
