Church in central Lugansk damaged from shelling (+Video)

As a result of direct hit of an artillery shell a wooden Church of Annunciation in Horlivka has been burned down, reports the website of the Horlivka and Sloviansk Diocese. Church workers are alive. There are several more hotbeds of gunfire in the “Stroitel” micro-district. Fire fighters are in action.

    

It was earlier reported that on July 29 shells had exploded near the Annunciation Church and a playground.

None of the administration staff members were injured — the shelling took place during a service when everybody was at the cathedral. The watchman, who was in a utility room nearby, survived by a miracle.

On June 26, Archbishop Mitrofan (Mitrophanes) of Horlivka and Sloviansk held an assembly of the clergy in Sloviansk. In the course of the discussion of the situation, established in the city and the region, it was decided to organize distribution of humanitarian aid in three parishes of Sloviansk:
