On March 27, 2016, the elder sister of the Venerable Father Gabriel (Urgebadze), Emma reposed in the Lord.

On March 31 Metropolitan James of Bodbi celebrated the funeral service over the newly-departed Emma in the courtyard of the church which the holy elder Gabriel had built with his own hands in 1955. After the repose of her brother, Emma looked after their house for 21 years.
