In addition to the Divine Liturgy for the feast of the Protomartyr, 51 people were united to Christ in Holy Baptism, reports the Friends of the Bukoba Mission in Tanzania.

A month ago, 32 others received Holy Illumination, and within a month they managed to build the mud hut-Church of St. Stephen, where the feast was celebrated. Orthodox Christians from other parishes also joined in the celebration.

It was also announced that a plot of land will be purchased for the construction of a larger, permanent church.
