OCA raises $400,000+ for Ukrainian refugees in a week, collection continues

The clergy and faithful of the Orthodox Church in America managed to raise well over $400,000 in just a week to aid Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of Washington and All America and Canada made a special appeal for donations on February 28. As of Tuesday afternoon, the Church had raised $433,000 to be sent to the ELEOS, the humanitarian agency of the Polish Orthodox Church, the OCA reports.

The donation portal oca.org/relief remains open until March 16, after which the donated funds will again be transferred to the Polish Church.

As OrthoChristian reported last week, Orthodox Churches and countries around the world have been sending much needed humanitarian aid to Ukraine and opening their doors to refugees.

The money will end up in the hands of the neo-Nazi battalion AZOV! You are sending money to buy weapons and provisions to people that want to murder, crucify and decapitate ORTHODOX Christians! Good job OCA!!

God bless the Orthodox Church in America for helping our Orthodox People in the Ukraine. The International Orthodox Christian Charities(IOCC), Greek Orthodox Churches, Ukrainian Orthodox Churches, etc, in the USA have also raised large amounts of money to help our Orthodox brothers and sisters in the Ukraine. God Bless them all, and let us pray for immediate peace in the Ukraine, and Unity among all the Orthodox People. How many times I have said, when we are divided, that only pleases those who hate us. Just my humble opinion.
