A new school under the care of the Jerusalem Patriarchate opened in Jordan last week.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Christophoros of Kyriakoupolis, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Patriarchate Schools, and the Jordanian Minister of Culture Haifa Najjar, reports the Orthodoxia News Agency.

“Today we have fulfilled the dream of establishing a model school where we will embody virtue alongside education and science,” Abp. Christophoros said in his greeting, emphasizing the role of Patriarchate in supporting education in Jordan.

All students who enroll in this first year will receive a 50% discount on tuition.

The Church has opened several schools in Jordan. In August 2021, a fully-equipped kindergarten for children with special needs was opened in Amman, and another kindergarten and Sunday School building were opened in December.
