The Jerusalem Patriarchate opened a new Orthodox kindergarten and Sunday School building in Jordan on Friday. This is at the second Church kindergarten opened in Jordan this year.

The opening ceremony was led by His Eminence Metropolitan Christophoros of Kyriakoupolis, the Board of Trustees of Patriarchate Schools, in the presence of the school’s director Mrs. Lynn Al-Madanat, and a number of priests and public figures, reports the Orthodoxia News Agency.

His Eminence gave a speech praising the achievement and calling upon all to work together for societal development.

In honor of the occasion, a concert of Christmas songs was performed by the local church and Sunday School choir, and a Christmas Bazaar with candy, Christmas tree decorations, and other things that delighted children and adults alike was opened.

In August, Met. Christophoros opened a special needs-equipped kindergarten in Amman, Jordan. In January of this year, His Eminence announced the launch of a family program for spiritual, social, and health assistance.
