The celebration of the Nativity in the flesh of our Lord Jesus Christ was especially blessed in Tanzania this year.
On this day, 60 catechumens from the villages of Mogoti and Kasura received the washing of regeneration, being baptized into the Body of Christ in the city Bukoba, reports the Orthodoxia News Agency.

With the help of 17 seminarians and 19 catechists from the St. Mark the Evangelist Seminary and the Monastery of St. Macrina, missions were established in a number of villages outside Bukoba. 30 people were already baptized on Pascha 2021 at the monastery.
And on Christmas day, despite the heavy rains, dozens of village catechumens made their way to Bukoba to be baptized by Met. Chrysostomos of Bukoba and Western Tanzania of the Patriarchate of Alexandria.
OrthoChristian previously reported that 155 people were baptized in Tanzania in May, and another 61 a week later.
