Head of Polish Church hospitalized

Warsaw, March 13, 2023

    

His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland, 84, has been hospitalized in Warsaw, the Metropolitan office reports.

“We ask the faithful of our Church and all people of good will to pray for the speedy return of our Metropolitan to full health,” the Church entreats.

The Polish primate was also hospitalized in July 2020 for treatment of a recurrent bacterial skin infection. The report published on Saturday doesn’t mention why His Beatitude was hospitalized this time.

The Metropolitan has been serving as a hierarch for 44 years.

May God grant His Beatitude a full and speedy recovery!
